Discover the main museums of the old city with the guidance of an expert tour guide. Start walking tour from
Sultanahmet square, pass the ancient Hippodrome to ;
Binbirdirek Cistern, one of the oldest Byzantine cisterns and the second biggest cistern of Istanbul.
Museum of Turkish and Islamic Art, a treasure-house of beautiful objects from Seljuk to the Ottomans (14th to 20th centuries).Turkish carpets, illuminated Kur'ans, calligraphy, carved and inlaid wood, glass, a fully-furnished nomads' tent, porcelain and stone are well displayed.
Walk to the small Arasta Bazaar and visit famous Mosaic Museum housing mosaics from Great Palace of Constantine showing hunting scenes and scenes from mythology.
