Travel Itinerary

 

Day 1:  Arrival to Istanbul. 

    Welcome to Istanbul. We meet you at Istanbul Airports and transfer you to your Hotel  located in the Old City area-Sultanahmet. According to your arrival time you can either check in to the hotel and relax or join our orriantation walking tour around the  Hippodromme Square.

Overnight in Istanbul

Day 2 :  Istanbul – Old City  Tour .  (B-L)

    After having breakfast at the Hotel, Our guide meets you  and We  start our day trip around 09:00 am

We see how old meets new when you visit  Istanbul's five  "must-see" historic sites.

The sites include : The Hippodrome (At Meydani) ,Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia Museum, Topkapi Palace.

Hippodrome of Constantinople

Tour Starts from the heart of the old city Turkish: Sultanahmet Meydanı, At Meydanı, was a horse-racing track that was the sporting and social centre of Constantinople, capital of the Byzantine Empire and the largest city in Europe. Obelisk of Theodosius, Serpentine Column, German Fountain of  Wilhelm II are visited.

Blue Mosque
One of the most famous monuments in both the Turkish and Islamic worlds, the Sultan Ahmet Mosque (also known as the Blue Mosque) is a superb creation in the classical Ottoman style. The mosque has six towering minarets and 260 windows illuminating its vast main chamber, which is decorated with more than 20,000 Iznik tiles.

Topkapı Palace
The largest and oldest palace in the world, Topkapi is the crown jewel of the Ottoman Empire. With its harem (additional cost), treasury and exotic buildings overlooking the Golden Horn, your visit to Topkapi promises to be a truly fascinating experience.

Hagia Sophia
Now a museum, Hagia Sophia was built in the 6th century by the Emperor Justinian, and was one of the largest basilicas in the Christian world. After the Ottoman conquest, it was converted to a mosque and is today one of the most magnificent museums in the world. Take a moment to linger here to admire the fine Byzantine mosaics.

Grand Bazaar
In operation since the 14th century, the Grand Bazaar is one of the world's largest covered markets, with 58 streets and over 4,000 shops. The bazaar is specially known for its jewelry, leather, pottery, spices and carpets.Visit of  Carpet Center and art demonstration

Overnight in Istanbul.

 

Day 3:  Bosphorus cruise tour and Asian side .  (B-L)

      We leave the hotel with our guide after breakfast at 09.00 am.

Discover the rest of  Istanbul with full-day sightseeing tour including Bosphorus boat cruise.

Lunch in a restaurant with Turkish traditional Kebabs selections

Than, Visit Imperial Palace of Dolmabahce ,drive to Asia by Bosphorus bridge and see Camlica hill dominant to the magnificent view of Bosphorus ,bridges and Asian side.

Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 4 : Gallipoli and Canakkale     (B-L)

      After having breakfast at the Hotel,We continue to Gallipolli Peninsula where the Dardanelles War took place. Brief glance at the battlefields, trenches and memorials that remind us of the Turkish, English, French, Australian and New Zealander (ANZAC), and Indian soldiers fallen between 1915-1916. cross the Strait of the Dardanelles by ferry. Dinner at the hotel in Canakkale located on the Asian side of the Strait of the Dardanelles.

Overnight in Canakkale.

 

Day 5: Troy and Pergamon   (B-L)

      After having breakfast at the Hotel In the morning, we depart for Troy whose history covers a period of about 3,400 years with nine layers of settlements (Troy I to IX). King Priam's glorious city, which can be found in the Iliad, Homer's epic poem, was immortalized through mythological characters: Helen, Menelas, Paris, Agamemnon, Achilles, Hector...and the legendary Trojan Wooden Horse, a reconstruction of which stands at the entrance of the site.

Lunch in downtown Bergama in a faily restaourant.

Continue to the ancient city of Pergamon, the capital of the Attalid dynasty. Visit the ancient city where parchment was invented: the Acropolis with the ruins of the agoras, temples, palaces, the library which contained 200,000 volumes, the podium on which stood the Zeus Altar which was sent to Berlin, and the impressive theatre built on the hillside which provides a wonderful panorama of the surroundings. In the lower part of the ancient city, visit the Asclepion, a sanctuary and a healing center dedicated to the god of healing, Asclepius.  

Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Kusadasi.

 

Day 6: Ephesus and House of Virgin Mary    (B-L)

       After having breakfast at the Hotel  Our Days starts with the visit of House of Mary on Mt.Coressus.Than

Ephesus, is considered one of the great outdoor museums of Turkey. Ephesus Tour  starts from the upper entrace gate.Ancient city has 3 main streets .We  see the Baths of Varius ,Odeon, Prytaneion,Fauntain of Polio,The Gate of Heracles ,State Agora, public toilets, Temple of Hadrian , Temple of Domitian , Library of Celsus, Great Theater and Horbour street with necropolis.

Lunch in the old Village of Sirince, open menu lunch or Sish- Kebab.

Than visit of St. John's Basilica, A part of the site, was built in the 6th century AD, under emperor Justinian I over the supposed site of the apostle's tomb. It is now surrounded by Selçuk.

Dinner in a local restaurant around our hotel.

Overnight in Selcuk or Kusadasi.

 

Day 7 : Aphrodisias , Pamukkale and Hierapolis    (B-L)

     After having breakfast at the Hotel in the morning, crossing the Taurus Mountains, drive to Aphrodisias the ancient city dedicated to Aphrodite, the goddess of Beauty, Love and Fertility, also famous for its school of sculpture: visit the stadium, which is the best preserved in Anatolia, the Temple of Aphrodite, the Tetrapylon, the Theatre, the Museum.

Lunch in the village of Pamukkale with local wine of Pamukkale.

Continue to Pamukkale, a unique natural site. Visit this " Cotton Castle " where the hot waters, leaving their limestone deposits, have created an unreal landscape with petrified waterfalls and basins; and Hierapolis, an ancient Roman health spa whose well preserved necropolis is one of the largest in the ancient world.

Dinner  at the hotel and Overnight in Pamukkale.

 

Day 8 : Antalya Museum and Old city ( Kaleici)     (B-L)

     After having breakfast at the Hotel in the morning, Drive to Antalya and Visit of Antalya Museum A great place to spend the rest of your day would be the Antalya museum with it many halls and exibitions or artifacts ranging from prehistorical times through the ages. The artifacts and relics on display are from the Antalya region and displayed in chronological order.

Lunch in Kaleici at in the very center of old city.

Stroll in the narrow streets of the picturesque old city (kaleici) with its narrow streets and typical wooden houses overlooking the marina, to discover the Hadrian Gate, the Fluted Minaret, and Hidirlik Tower.

Dinner at the hotel and overnight in Antalya

 

Day 9 : Duden Falls, Aspendos, Perge and Side (B,L,D)

       After having breakfast at the Hotel , We visit ,Duden Waterfalls, formed by the Duden River, is located 12 km north-east of Antalya; which ends, where the limpid waters of the Lower Duden Falls drop off a rocky cliff directly into the Mediterranean Sea in a dazzling show.Through the coastal plain of

Pamphylia, drive to Aspendos, whose 2C AD theatre is the best preserved Roman theatre in Asia Minor.

Lunch around the Kopru stream in a fish  farm Restaurant.

Continue to Perge, and visit this other Hellenistico-Roman ancient city with its stadium, colonnaded street and theatre.

Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Side.

 

Day 10 : Konya & silk Road Caravansarai     (B-L)

      After having breakfast at the Hotel ,Crossing the Taurus Mountains, drive to Konya, overlooking the Turquoise depths of the Mediterranean. Upon arrival in Konya,

Lunch in a very close restaurant to Mevlana museum and we try Etli Ekmek-local food of Konya.

Than Visit holy city of the Seljuk Turks, visit the Museum of Mevlana, the famous mystic and poet who founded the Sufi Order of the Whirling Dervishes in the 13th century. Dervish houses and the Sultan Selim Mosque dating back to 16’th century.

Visit of Sultanhani Caravansarai which is the best examples of Selcuk Caranvansaraies built in 13’th century on the Historical Silk trade road on the way to Cappadocia.

Dinner and overnight at a Cave hotel in Cappadocia.

 

Day 11 : Cappadocia Volcanic area and Churches    (B-L)

     After having breakfast at the Hotel ,We depart for a Volcainc area tour with our guide.We visit :

Goreme Open Air Museum,It’s the most famous attraction, for good reason, a complex of several painted cave-churches carved out by Orthodox monks between 900 and 1200 AD.

Uchisar Castle The natural rock citadel of Uçhisar is the tallest point in Cappadocia, visible for a great distance from the region's other towns such as Urgup and Avanos

Lunch in a cave restaurant and we taste local pottery Kebab

Avanos on the banks of the Red River in Cappadocia is all about pottery-making. You can see pottery being made, and even take a pottery-making class and make some yourself.

Pasabagi The best place to see three-headed fairy chimneys. Pasabag, the Pasha's Vineyard, is surrounded by incredible natural rock formations; a spectacular scene.

Devrent Valley, The ruins at Devrent are spread over three valleys, which also house several pointed fairy chimneys with large stems.

Dinner in Goreme Valley in a local restaurant.

Overnight in Cappadocia in a cave hotel.

 

Day 12 : Hiking & Underground city     (B-L)

       After having breakfast at the Hotel, Our day starts with a walk in Rose or Mekendir Valleys for 3 km , end of hiking trail is an old Village called Cavusin with its deserted rock houses.

Lunch in a local restaurant in Ortahisar village.

Than we drive to the Underground city of Kaymaklı which is one of the largest and the deepest Underground Cities with its cave rooms , tunnels going deep, and cave churches.Than we drive to  Pigeon Valley to see dove cotes and panoramic view of the valley.

Dinner in Urgup’s center in a local restaurant.

Overnight in Cappadocia in a cave hotel

 

Day 13 : Ankara , Moselium of Ataturk and Anatolian Civilizations Museum    (B-L)

     After having breakfast at the Hotel in the morning, we drive to Ankara, the Turkish capital since 1923. Visit the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations which displays rich and unique collections such as the treasures in the Hittite section.

Lunch in a restaurant next to Ankara Citadel with panoramic view of capital city of Ankara

We see the Anitkabir, the Mausoleum of Ataturk(the father of modern Turkey)  with World War I museum, Drive to Istanbul and late arrival to Hotel in night.

 

Day 14 : Free Day in Istanbul and return flight  ( B )

    Free Day and  flight  back to your home country.
